Overview
The HI705 SiO2 LR Tintometer is an instrument for the measurement of low-concentration silica (SiO2) content in water samples, suitable for drinking water treatment, environment monitoring and industrial production processes. The instrument is based on the chemical reaction of silica with Reagents to produce dyes, and the concentration is determined by measurement Optical inspection density.
Features
1. Suitable for the measurement of lower concentrations of silica in water samples, covering the concentration range of common water bodies
2. High Accuracy and Accuracy to provide reliable measurement results
3. Measurement time is short, suitable for occasions that require quick feedback
4. Widely used in drinking water treatment, environment monitoring, industrial production and other fields
5. Simple operation, no complicated steps required, suitable for laboratory and field testing
Principle
The HI705 SiO2 LR Tintometer is based on the chemical reaction between silica and Reagent to produce a dye or compound whose concentration is proportional to the silica content in the water sample. The concentration of silica in the water sample is determined by measurement of the Optical inspection density or Color depth of the dye.
Applications
Drinking water treatment, environment monitoring, industrial production
Steps
1. Prepare water samples and purchase Reagent HI705-25
2. Carry out chemical reactions according to the heteropoly blue method
3. Tintometer measurement Optical inspection density
4. Read the silica concentration value
Notice
• Measurement range is 0.00~ 2.00 ppm, out of range may affect accuracy
• accuracy of +/- 0.03 ppm +/- 5% of the reading, be aware of measurement errors
• The instrument will automatically shut down after ten minutes of no operation. Pay attention to the operation interval when using it.
• Special optional Reagent HI705-25 and Calibration Group HI705-11 are required
• Measuring method should refer to ASTM D859 standard
