Overview
HI717 phosphoric acid HR Tintometer is a photometer instrument produced by HANNA brand for the measurement of phosphoric acid concentration in water samples. "HR" means high Sensitivity and is suitable for the measurement of high concentrations of phosphoric acid salts in water bodies. The instrument is widely used in wastewater treatment, environment monitoring and water quality analysis in agriculture.
Features
1. High Sensitivity Measurement range 0.0~ 30.0ppm
2. LED Illuminant @525nm
3. Automatic shutdown function (after ten minutes of no operation)
4. Reference to water and wastewater standard detection method 18th edition amino acid method
5. Supporting special purchase Reagent HI717-25 and calibration group HI717-11
Principle
Based on the chemical reaction between phosphoric acid salt and a specific Reagent to produce Color change, the concentration of phosphoric acid salt is determined by measurement of the Absorbance of the solution. Specifically, acidic solutions and reducing agents are used to convert phosphoric acid salt into colorless phosphoric acid salt under acidic conditions, and then Reagents containing indicators are added to form colored products.
Applications
Water quality monitoring, wastewater treatment, environment monitoring, agricultural field, scientific research laboratory
Standards
Standard detection method for water and wastewater 18th edition Amino acid method
Steps
Prepare Water Sample and HI717-25 Reagent
2. Sample Handling according to standard detection methods
3. Place the processed sample into the Tintometer
4. Read the displayed phosphoric acid concentration value
5. Periodic calibrating using HI717-11 calibration group
Notice
• Measurement range of 0.0~ 30.0ppm with accuracy of +/- 1.0ppm +/- 5% of reading
• Resolution is 0.1ppm
• Special Reagent HI717-25 is required for testing
• Regularly calibrate using the HI717-11 calibration group
• The instrument automatically shuts down after ten minutes of no operation
