Overview
HI718 Iodine Tintometer is a photometer instrument for the measurement of Ion concentration in solution. It determines the content of iodine in solution based on the Color change produced by the chemical reaction between iodine and a specific Reagent, providing a fast, simple and affordable Measuring method with high Sensitivity and accuracy.
Features
1. Measurement range: 0.0~ 12.5 ppm
2. High resolution: 0.1 ppm
3. High accuracy: +/- 0.1 ppm +/- 5% of the reading
4. LED Illuminant @525nm
5. Automatic shutdown function: automatic shutdown after ten minutes without operation
6. Measuring method standard: refer to water and wastewater standard detection method 18th edition DPD method
Principle
By adding potassium iodide or sodium iodide Reagent to the solution to be tested, a chemical reaction between iodine ion and Reagent is initiated to generate staining or settling. The concentration of iodine ion is then determined by comparing the Color of the solution or measuring settling Optical inspection density.
Applications
Food industry, pharmaceutical industry, environment monitoring, chemical laboratory
Standards
Water and wastewater standard detection method 18th edition DPD method
Steps
Step 1 Prepare the solution to be tested
2. Add HI718-25 Optional Reagent
3. Calibration using the HI718-11 calibration group
4. Put the sample into the instrument for measurement
5. Read the Ion concentration value on the display
Notice
• Please read the instructions carefully before use
• Make sure to use the specified HI718-25 Reagent and HI718-11 Calibration Set
Instrument calibration is required before measurement
• Avoid use in a strong light environment
• Regular cleaning of instrument Optical inspection parts
