Overview
Fluoride is a substance in drinking water that has an important impact on human health. Moderate fluoride is good for dental health, and excessive fluoride is harmful to health. The HI739 fluoride HR Tintometer is a handheld Tintometer designed for fluoride concentration measurement. It has the characteristics of small and portable, easy to use, and high accuracy.
Features
1. LED Illuminant is used, which has better performance and higher luminous efficiency than traditional tungsten lamps. It uses less energy to provide stable Illuminant, and can ignore the impact of its own heat on the stability of electronic products
2. With CAL CheckTM function, allowing performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards
3. CAL CheckTM NIST Linear dispersion calibration set can simulate specific Absorbance values to verify the accuracy of subsequent readings
Principle
The SPADNS method was used for fluoride concentration measurement, referring to the 18th edition of the standard detection method for water and wastewater, and the fluoride concentration was determined by measuring the Absorbance of the sample at a wavelength of 575nm.
Applications
Drinking Water Testing, Bottled Water Testing, Household Water Filter Testing
Standards
Standard detection methods for water and wastewater 18th edition
Steps
1. Sample Handling with HI739-26 Reagent
2. Instrument calibrating using HI739-11 calibration group
3. Put the processed sample into Tintometer measurement
4. Read the fluoride concentration value on the display
Notice
Measurement range is 0.0~ 20.0 ppm, beyond the range may affect the measurement accuracy
• Resolution of 0.1 ppm with accuracy of +/- 0.5 ppm +/- 5% of the reading
• The device will automatically shut down after ten minutes of no operation
• Special Reagent HI739-26 and Calibration Group HI739-11 are required
• LED Illuminant @575nm for measurement
