Overview
HI755 alkalinity (seawater) Tintometer is a handheld Tintometer specially used for the measurement of seawater/freshwater alkalinity, with low, medium and high ranges. The product is easy to operate, accurate and cost-effective in measurement, more accurate and faster than chemical test Reagent boxes, and easy to carry and affordable.
Features
1. LED Illuminant is used, which has better performance and higher luminous efficiency than traditional tungsten lamps and other Illuminants. It can use less energy to provide stable Illuminant, and LED can ignore the impact of its own heat on the stability of electronic products.
2. Capable of CAL CheckTM, allowing performance verification and calibrating of instruments using NIST traceability standards; CAL CheckTM NIST Linear dispersion calibration sets simulate specific Absorbance values for each wavelength to verify the accuracy of subsequent readings.
Principle
The product uses Colorimetry for measurement, irradiating the sample at a wavelength of 610nm with an LED Illuminant to determine the alkalinity value based on the change in Absorbance.
Applications
Seawater alkalinity measurement, freshwater alkalinity measurement
Standards
NIST traceability standard
Steps
Prepare the sample and add HI755-26 Reagent.
2. Pour the sample into the HI731313H Glass Cuvette.
3. Put the Cuvette into the host for measurement.
4. Read the alkalinity value (in ppm CaCO3) on the display.
5. Use the CAL CheckTM function for performance verification (optional).
Notice
• Make sure the Cuvette is clean and free of contamination to avoid measurement errors.
• Use NIST traceability standards to calibrate for accuracy.
• The instrument will automatically shut down after ten minutes of no operation to save power.
• Use only designated Reagents and Accessories such as HI755-26 Reagent and HI731313H Glass Cuvette.
• Avoid long-term use in high temperature environments to prevent affecting Electronic Stability.
