Overview
The HI761 photometer is a HANNA brand instrument for detecting ultra-low concentration total chlorine content in water, suitable for water quality monitoring such as swimming pools and drinking water. The total chlorine ULR stands for "Ultra Low Range" and can detect chlorine concentration at micrograms per liter or lower, which is essential for water quality safety.
Features
1. LED Illuminant is used, which has higher performance and luminous efficiency than traditional tungsten lamps. Energy consumption is small and Illuminant is stable.
2. LED can ignore its own heat generation to avoid high temperature affecting the Stability of electronic products.
3. With CAL CheckTM function, allowing performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards.
4. CAL CheckTM NIST Linear dispersion calibration group can simulate specific Absorbance values to verify the accuracy of subsequent readings.
Principle
Based on the principle of photometry, the sample is irradiated at 525nm wavelength by LED Illuminant, combined with DPD method to refer to the standard detection method of water and wastewater to measure the total chlorine concentration in water. The instrument uses Colorimetric technology to detect the ultra-low range chlorine content.
Applications
Drinking water monitoring, swimming pool water treatment, environment monitoring (surface water, groundwater, industrial discharge), industrial process water control
Standards
USEPA method 330.5, DPD method with reference to water and wastewater standard detection method 20th edition 4500-CI method
Steps
Prepare samples and process with HI761-25 Reagent.
2. Pour the sample into the HI731313H Glass Cuvette.
3. Place the Cuvette in the instrument measurement chamber.
4. Start measurement, the instrument automatically reads the total chlorine concentration.
5. Periodic performance verification using the CAL CheckTM function.
Notice
• Measurement range from 0 to 500 ppb with a resolution of 1 ppb and an accuracy of +/- 5 ppb +/- 5% of the reading.
• The instrument automatically shuts down after ten minutes of no operation.
• Use designated Reagents and Cuvettes to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Regularly use the HI761-11 calibration group for calibrating verification.
