Overview
The HI770 Silica LR Tintometer determines silica concentration by measuring the Color Intensity of silica and Reagents in water samples. This photometer is widely used in laboratories, water treatment plants, environment monitoring stations, etc., to monitor the silica content in water quality, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and provide fast and accurate measurement data support.
Features
1. Using LED Illuminant, it has better performance and higher luminous efficiency than traditional tungsten lamps, uses less energy to provide stable Illuminant, and ignores its own heat effect
2. With CAL CheckTM function, allowing performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards
3. CAL CheckTM NIST Linear dispersion calibration set can simulate specific Absorbance values to verify the accuracy of subsequent readings
Principle
HI770 silica LR Tintometer to determine the concentration of silica by measuring the color intensity of silica in the water sample and the reaction of the Reagent. Measuring method refers to the USEPA method 370.1 4500-SiO2, C method.
Applications
Laboratories, water treatment plants, environment monitoring stations
Standards
USEPA method 370.1 4500-SiO2, C method
Steps
1. Sample Handling with HI770-25 Reagent
2. Put the processed sample into Tintometer measurement
3. Verify performance with CAL CheckTM function
4. Read silica concentration values
Notice
• Measurement range from 0 to 200 ppm with a resolution of 1 ppm
• accuracy of +/- 2 ppm +/- 5% of the reading
• Illuminant LED @470nm
• Automatic shutdown after ten minutes without operation
• Special Reagent HI770-25 is required
Calibration requires the use of the HI770-11 calibration group
