Overview
The HI771 total chlorine UHR Tintometer is a HANNA brand photometer for the measurement of total chlorine concentration in water. The concentration is determined by comparing the total chlorine in water samples with the Color intensity produced by the Reagent, which is crucial in swimming pools, hot spring water, fruit and vegetable cleaning water and drinking water monitoring. The instrument has important applications in water treatment, environment monitoring and industrial production, helping users monitor and control the total chlorine concentration in water to ensure water quality compliance.
Features
1. LED Illuminant is used, which has better performance and higher luminous efficiency than traditional tungsten lamps. It can provide stable Illuminant with less energy and ignore its own heat to affect the electronic Stability.
2. Features CAL CheckTM, allowing performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards, verifying reading accuracy by simulating specific Absorbance values.
Principle
The HI771 total chlorine UHR Tintometer is based on Colorimetry measurement of total chlorine concentration in water. Color concentration is determined by comparing the intensity of total chlorine in the water sample with the reaction of the Reagent. Measuring methods refer to USEPA method 330.5, DPD method and water and wastewater standard detection method 20th edition 4500-CI method.
Applications
Water treatment, environment monitoring, industrial production
Standards
USEPA method 330.5, DPD method, water and wastewater standard detection method 20th edition 4500-CI method
Steps
Use optional Reagent HI771-25 for water sample treatment.
2. Put the treated water sample into the Tintometer.
3. Use calibration group HI771-11 for performance verification and calibrating through CAL CheckTM function.
4. Read and record the total chlorine concentration measurement results.
Notice
• Measurement range of 0~ 500 ppm, resolution of 1 ppm, accuracy of +/- 3 ppm +/- 5% of reading.
• Illuminant LED @525nm to ensure stable use.
• The instrument automatically shuts down after ten minutes of no operation to save power.
• Use NIST traceability standards to calibrate to ensure measurement accuracy.
