Overview
The HI96811 Winemaking Glucose Refractive Analyzer is a professional refractometer from the HANNA brand that converts the Refractive index to the Sucrose concentration (% Brix or ° Brix) as a percentage of weight. The instrument is based on the saccharide analysis method provided by the International Commission for the Uniform Analysis of Sugar. The sugar content reading during the measurement of wine is called "Apparent Brix".

Principle
The HI96811 Brewing Gluccometer converts a sample into a sugar content reading by measuring its refractive index. The instrument enables the measurement of the refractive index of grape juice in seconds after simple user calibration with deionized water or distillation water. This digital refractometer eliminates the uncertainty of mechanical refractometers and provides fast and reliable measurement results.

Steps
1. Instrument calibrating with distillation or deionized water
2. Add 2 drops of sample to the sample chamber
3. Press the measurement button to start measurement
4. Wait 1.5 seconds to read the measurement result

• The calibrating must use distillation or deionized water
Sample volume of at least 100 µL is required to fully cover the prism
• The instrument has an automatic shutdown function, and it will not shut down automatically for three minutes.
• Pay attention to the battery level, the instrument has a low battery reminder function
