Overview
The HI96821 refractometer is a sodium chloride measuring instrument for the food industry that converts the Refractive index of liquid solutions into sodium chloride content values. The instrument uses automatic temperature compensation technology for fast and accurate measurement. Only two drops of sample need to be calibrated with distillation water or deionized water to obtain results in seconds. It supports four unit displays: g/100g, g/100mL, specific gravity and ° Baumé Baumé. Not suitable for seawater salinity measurement.

Principle
The instrument automatically converts the Refractive index to sodium chloride content by measuring the refractive index of the solution. Internationally recognized reference unit conversion and temperature compensation methods are used to ensure measurement accuracy. After the sample is calibrated with deionized water or distillation water, the instrument completes the refractive index measurement and calculation in a few seconds, and displays the results in selected units.

Notice
Not suitable for salinity measurement
• The calibrating must use distillation or deionized water
• The minimum sample volume is 100 μL, and the prism needs to be fully covered
• The instrument has an automatic shutdown function, no automatic shutdown is required for three minutes
• Pay attention to low battery prompts to ensure measurement accuracy
• Keep the sample room clean to prevent contamination from affecting the measurement results
