Overview
SZQ-160 50/100/150/200μm Ceramic Film Applicator is a 4-sided film applicator made of zirconia ceramics. Its film thickness is 50μm, 100μm, 150μm, 200μm, the application width is 160mm, and the total length is 190mm. The product is a manual laboratory film applicator, which can also be used with the Film Applicator for automatic Spreader. It has been imported three-coordinate inspection before leaving the factory to ensure dimensional accuracy and film accuracy, and supports customization of different specifications.

Principle
The Film Applicator uses a ceramic drawdown blade of a specific thickness to scrape paint or stock on a flat substrate surface to form a uniform, precisely controllable wet-film. The 4-sided design provides four different film thickness options, allowing users to select the appropriate scraping surface for manual or automatic Spreader.

Steps
1. Applicator scraping the desired film thickness.
2. Place the Applicator on one end of a flat, clean substrate (e.g. Glass plate, steel plate).
3. Pour a sufficient amount of Spreader material in front of the Applicator.
4. Scrape the Applicator smoothly along the substrate surface at uniform speed and appropriate pressure.
5. Lift the Applicator, leaving a wet-film of the corresponding thickness on the substrate.
6. Clean Applicator for next use.
Notice
• Make sure the substrate surface is flat, clean and drying before use.
• When scraping, keep the Applicator perpendicular to the surface of the substrate and operate smoothly at a uniform speed.
• Applicator should be thoroughly cleaned with suitable solvent in time after use to avoid material curing residue.
