Overview
YN-RRD1000T microcomputer Softness tester is a test instrument that simulates the softness of the hand. It is designed according to the relevant provisions of the national standard GB/T 8942 and refers to the testing principle of the American Hand-O-Meter instrument. It is mainly used for the softness test of composites such as toilet paper, non-woven fabrics and films. It is a commonly used testing instrument in papermaking, R & D institutions and Quality control departments.

Principle
Under the specified conditions, when the plate probe presses the sample into the slot-die at a certain depth (8mm), the instrument records the sum of the maximum vector of the bending force of the sample itself and the friction between the sample and the gap, which is called the softness of the sample. The smaller the instrument indication, the softer the sample.

Steps
1. Prepare the sample.
2. Select and set the appropriate parameters such as the narrow width of the sample stage and the moment code group according to the test standard.
3. Place the specimen on the test plate.
4. Through the 7-inch color touch screen control system start-up test.
5. The instrument automatically measures, and the probe presses the sample into the slot-die 8mm depth at a set speed (such as 1.2mm/s).
6. Linear dispersion of pressure changes can be observed in real time during the test.
7. After the test is completed, the instrument records and displays the softness value.
8. One-click data statistics can be performed, and test reports can be printed through the built-in micro-thermal printer.
Notice
• Please select the appropriate narrow width of the sample stage (e.g. 5mm, 6.35mm, 10mm, 20mm) and the moment code group according to the sample type and test standard.
• Ensure that the parallelism error on both sides of the sample table slot-die meets the requirements (≤ 0.05mm).
• Pay attention to the measurement range of the instrument (5~ 3000mN) to avoid excessive use to protect the Sensor.
• Regularly calibrate the instrument with calibrated weight (100g) to ensure accuracy ( +/- 1%) and indication variability (≤ 1%).
• Keep the test load plate (304 stainless steel light plate) clean and flat.
• The total travel of the instrument is 16mm, and the depth of the probe is 8 + 0.5mm. Please do not force intervention during the test.
• The instrument weight is about 30 kg, please make sure to place it smoothly.
