Overview
TQC Specific Gravity Cup model VF2097 is used to determine the specific gravity of Coatings and other similar substances, suitable for uninflated specimen density. The product is made of anodic oxidation-treated high-tensile aircraft aluminum alloy, which is lightweight and durable, with a volume of 100ml and a weight of 70g +/- 1g.
Features
1. The upper cover has a small hole with a slope to the top center, so that excess sample material can be overflowed without bubbles, increasing accuracy.
2. Provide a variety of models of 50ml, 100ml, stainless steel and aluminum.
3. Pillar type, large opening, suitable for plastic density testing and paints inks Coating specific gravity testing.
4. All models are provided with a calibrated certificate.
Principle
Calculate the liquid density by weighing the weight difference between the empty cup and the filled liquid, combined with the known cup volume. The formula is: density = (full cup weight - empty cup weight)/Specific Gravity Cup volume. The test needs to be carried out at 20 ° C +/- 0.5 ° C environment to ensure accuracy.
Applications
Coatings, paints, inks, plastic density testing
Standards
ISO 2811、DIN 53 217、ASTM D 1475
Steps
1. Weigh out the clean drying Density Cup weight and record it.
Maintain the Density Cup and the liquid under test within a specific Temperature range (20 ° C +/- 0.5 ° C; 68 ° F +/- 1.0 ° F).
3. Inject the liquid into the Specific Gravity Cup.
4. Cover the lid smoothly.
5. Avoid generating bubbles.
6. Carefully wipe the spilled liquid clean with an absorbent cloth.
7. Weigh the weight of the Specific Gravity Cup filled with liquid.
8. Calculation density: density = (full cup weight g - empty cup weight g)/Specific Gravity Cup volume ml.
Notice
- The test should be carried out at 20 ℃ +/- 0.5 ℃ environment.
Avoid creating bubbles.
- Use an absorbent cloth to carefully wipe the spilled liquid.
