Overview
The LEEB DS Impact unit is an Optional accessory of the leeb120 and leeb140 Leeb hardness tester for the measurement of hardness of materials. The unit is suitable for pipeline inspection, and the measurement is completed in one load.

Principle
The DS-type Impact device impacts the surface of the material with an impact energy of 11mJ and measures the hardness of materials. In the assembly line inspection, the measurement process can be completed by loading once.

Steps
1. Impact device mounted on the leeb120 or leeb140 Leeb hardness tester
2. Ensure that the specimen meets minimum weight, surface roughness and thickness requirements
3. Load test on the test piece online
4. Complete measurement with one load
Notice
• The minimum weight of the specimen must be greater than 5kg
• The weight range of the specimen requiring stable support is 2~ 5kg
• The weight range of the specimen to be tightly coupled is 0.05~ 2kg
• The minimum test thickness of the specimen is 5mm
• Minimum depth of hardened layer should be ≥ 0.8mm
• The average surface asperity of the specimen shall not exceed 1.6 μm
