Overview
The LEEB C Impact device is an Optional accessory of the leeb120 and leeb140 Leeb hardness tester, specially designed for the measurement of Hardness in steel and cast steel/alloy tool steel materials. The device has a small impact force and has little damage to the tested surface. It does not damage the hardened layer. It is suitable for the measurement of small and thin parts and surface hardened layers.
Features
1. Impact energy is only 2.7mJ, impact force is small
2. Little damage to the tested surface and does not damage the hardened layer
3. Suitable for measurement of small and thin parts and surface hardening layer
4. Impact device with light mass, only 75g
5. Hardness of ball head up to 1600HV, using tungsten carbide material
6. The average surface asperity of the specimen is low, only 0.4μm
Principle
The C-type Impact device uses the surface of the tungsten carbide ball head with Hardness of 1600HV to determine the Richter Hardness value of the material according to the ratio of the springback speed to the Impact speed with the Impact energy of 2.7mJ.
Applications
Steel, cast steel, alloy tool steel, stainless steel, gray cast iron, ductile cast iron, cast aluminum alloy, copper zinc alloy, copper tin alloy (bronze), pure copper
Notice
• The minimum weight of the specimen must be greater than 1.5kg.
• When the weight of the specimen is 0.5~ 1.5kg, stable support is required
• When the weight of the specimen is 0.02~ 0.5kg, dense coupling is required
• The minimum test thickness of the specimen is 1mm
• Minimum depth of hardened layer should be ≥ 0.2mm
• The average surface asperity of the specimen should reach 0.4μm
