Overview
Blu-ray glue cutter (model: QW-GC365) is an experimental instrument launched by QIWEI brand, which is specially used to observe and cut gel containing dyestuff nucleic acids and proteins. The instrument is widely used in molecular biology, molecular genetics, medicine and health, biological products, agriculture and other life science research fields.
Features
1. Wavelength 365nm, precise excitation fluorescence.
2. The size of the cutting area is 105 * 163mm, meeting the requirements of routine experiments.
3. Illuminant lighting on both sides, uniform lighting.
4. Equipped with an amber filter to enhance the observation effect.
5. Power supply DC12.6V, low power consumption design.
6. instrument size 200 * 230 * 48mm, compact and portable.
7. Net weight 1kg, light and easy to operate.
Principle
The blue light glue cutter irradiates the sample with ultraviolet rays to make the chromosome emit strong fluorescence, and then selects the corresponding separation region on the fluorescence map through the glue cutter to achieve accurate separation of nucleic acid or protein.
Applications
Molecular biology, molecular genetics, medicine and health, biological products, agriculture
Steps
1. Place the gel sample in the gel cutting area.
2. Turn on the instrument and irradiate the sample with 365nm UV light.
3. Observe the fluorescence emitted by chromosomes.
4. Use a glue cutter to select the target separation area on the fluorogram.
5. Carry out the glue cutting operation to achieve separation.
Notice
• Avoid direct visual viewing of UV Illuminants during operation to prevent eye damage.
• Make sure the power supply is DC12.6V to avoid using mismatched power supplies.
• Clean the glue cutter in time after use and keep it sharp.
• The instrument is stored in a drying environment to avoid moisture affecting performance.
• Follow laboratory safety practices and wear appropriate protective equipment.
