Overview
The TRUIT TR 5120/P Pendulum hardness tester is designed in accordance with GB/T 1730, ISO 1522 and ASTM D4366 standards. It adopts the principle of KÖnig pendulum, Persoz pendulum and double pendulum, and measures Hardness by the oscillation attenuation of the pendulum rod on the film surface. It is suitable for different thickness test plates.
Features
1. Touchscreen control
2. Use electromagnet cissing pendulum
3. Can be suitable for test plates of different thicknesses from 0.1mm to 5.5mm
4. Data Recording with Two Laser Probes
5. Organic Glass door cover, reducing air circulation and convenient viewing
6. Freely switch between different test methods
Principle
The Pendulum hardness tester is based on the principle of interaction between the pendulum rod and the paint film, depending on the film resilience and viscoelasticity properties. The softer the pendulum rod touches the film surface, the faster its pendulum radiation decays. The Koenig pendulum, Persaz pendulum, and double pendulum share the same principle, but vary in size, swing period, and swing.
Applications
Paints and varnishes
Standards
GB/T 1730、ISO 1522、ASTM D4366
Notice
On surfaces with low friction factors, the Persoz pendulum may slip, invalidating the results
• Tests should be carried out under controlled temperature and Humidity conditions without the influence of airflow
• Film thickness and substrate material may affect damping time
• Only one type of swing bar is allowed in the specified damping time measurement
