Overview
The NBC-9013 battery extrusion tester is a factory direct product, suitable for simulating the situation of various types of batteries being squeezed during use, transportation, storage or disposal of household waste. The equipment follows the extrusion test rules. A battery is squeezed only once, and the qualification standard is that the battery does not explode and does not catch fire.
Features
1. The drive mode adopts hydraulic motor drive, the force value range is 1~ 20kN, and the force measurement accuracy reaches 0.1N.
2. Unit conversion supports kg, N, lb, and extrusion Travel can be selected from 200mm or 300mm.
3. Force value displayed by PLC Touchscreen, equipped with standard extrusion head, area ≥ 20cm ².
4. The degree of extrusion is precisely controlled, and the extrusion pressure reaches 13 +/- 0.2 kN and is maintained for 1 minute.
5. Box material The inner box is stainless steel, and the outer box is sprayed with Cold rolled steel plate.
6. The rear side of the box is designed with an exhaust trend and a pressure relief device, and the box is equipped with lighting.
7. The test space is 300x300x300mm, Dimension is about 700x800x1830mm, weight is about 220kg, power supply is AC380V, 50HZ.
Principle
The device is driven by a hydraulic motor to apply extrusion pressure, simulating the situation where the battery is squeezed in a real scene. The extrusion process follows specific rules: the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical battery is parallel to the plate of the extrusion device; the Cube and soft pack batteries only squeeze the wide side; the upper and lower planes of the coin type or button type battery are squeezed parallel to the plate. The extrusion pressure is maintained for a period of time after reaching the set value to detect whether the battery explodes or catches fire.
Applications
Battery use, transportation, storage, and disposal of household waste
Standards
GB 31241-2014、GB/T 8897.4-2008、YD/T 2344.1-2011、GB/T 21966-2008、MT/T 1051-2007、YD 1268-2003、GB/T 19521.11-2005、YDB 032-2009、UL 1642、UL 2054、IEC 62281、IEC 60086
Steps
1. Set the extrusion direction according to the battery type (cylindrical, Cube, soft pack, coin or button).
2. Place the battery in the test space to ensure that the extrusion head and the battery contact surface comply with the rules.
3. Set the force parameter through the PLC Touchscreen, and the unit can be converted to kg, N, or lb.
4. Start the equipment, and apply the extrusion pressure to 13 +/- 0.2 kN driven by the hydraulic motor.
5. Maintain the extrusion pressure for 1 minute and observe whether the battery explodes or catches fire.
6. Record the test results and perform a single extrusion test for each battery.
Notice
• A battery is only crushed once to avoid repeability.
The extrusion direction should strictly follow the battery type rules to ensure the accuracy of the test.
• Pay attention to safety during the test, and keep the trend of the rear side of the box and the pressure relief device unobstructed.
The power supply of the equipment is AC380V, and it must meet electrical safety standards when used.
• Regularly check the accuracy of the equipment force value and the state of the extrusion head to ensure the test Reliability.
