Overview
DB22-LX-SA foundry sand hardness gauge (wet mold sand hardness gauge) is an instrument used to measure the surface Hardness of wet mold sand/core, and provides technical parameters for formulating molding processes. The series is divided into three models: A, B, and C. Type B is suitable for fine, coarse sand/core surface hardness testing for manual or mechanical low and medium pressure molding.
Features
1. Hardness value is expressed in H (A/B/C), which is consistent with the unit value (g/mm ²). If the unit value is large, the Hardness value is large
2. With average value calculation, MAX Maximum latch, undervoltage alarm indication function
3. USB cable and Bluetooth data output, can communicate with PC
4. Equipped with automatic shutdown function and low voltage prompt
5.4-Bit 10mm LCD display with resolution up to 0.1HA (HB/HC)
Principle
Hardness is assessed by applying pressure to the surface of the sand mold by the indenter and measuring its ability to resist deformation. Specifically, the ball R2.50 indenter is used. Under 237g load and 90g preload, the compression Travel is 2.50mm. The deformation is converted into Hardness value by measurement.
Applications
Manual molding, mechanical low and medium voltage molding, high voltage molding, sand surface hardness testing, sand core surface hardness testing
Steps
1. Install 2 AA batteries
2. Select the appropriate model (A/B/C) corresponding to the test object
3. Align the indenter vertically with the sand/core test surface
4. Apply pressure until it stabilizes
5. Read LCD Hardness/Average/MAX Maximum
6. Data can be transferred via USB or Bluetooth connection to PC
Notice
Measurement range is limited to 10~ 90HA (HB/HC), beyond the range may affect the accuracy
• Ambient Temperature should be kept at 0~ 40 ℃, Humidity below 80% RH
• Pay attention to the low voltage prompt and replace the battery in time
• Ensure that the indenter is clean to avoid affecting the measurement results
• Keep the instrument vertical and stable during use
