Principle
The instrument receives a specific band of UV light through its Sensor, which has a peak wavelength of 254 +/- 5nm (bottom width 200-280nm). The microcomputer system processes the Sensor signal and quickly calculates it in a sampling time of about 0.5 seconds, eventually displaying the UV irradiance value digitally on the LCD screen.

Steps
1. Install 4 AA batteries.
2. Point the Sensor at the UV light source to be measured.
3. Observe the reading displayed on the LCD screen.
4. To record data, press the Hold key to lock the current value.
