Overview
AW-BB75B Webster Hardness Tester is a Portable hardness testing instrument under the AMITTARI brand. It is designed for rapid on-site testing of the hardness of soft brass, copper and other materials. It is easy to operate, and the hardness value can be directly read by simply sticking the instrument on the sample. It is especially suitable for rapid, non-destructive batch inspection of products on production, sales or construction sites.
Features
1. Press needle: New materials and new processes, high hardness, long service life, and good interchangeability.
2. Pointer: high-strength design, long-term use or improper operation is not easy to bend and deform.
3. Handle: made of forged material, the surface is anodic oxidation treatment, beautiful, wear-resistant and pollution-resistant.
4. Hardness block: Equipped with standard hardness block through standard hardness machine testing to ensure the accuracy of calibrating.
5. High mass: the parts are processed finely, the whole machine is assembled precisely, and has undergone strict mass inspection.
6. Good stability: The full point and correction point of the instrument show good stability.
Principle
The Webster Hardness Tester is based on a shaped hard steel crimp that is pressed into the surface of the specimen under the action of a standard spring test force. By measuring the depth of the crimp, the depth value is converted by the mechanical structure inside the instrument into the indication of the pointer on the dial, and the corresponding Wechsler hardness value (HW) is read directly.
Applications
Rapid hardness detection of soft brass, copper and other materials
Standards
No specific standards were mentioned in the data.
Steps
1. Ensure that the sample size meets the requirements (Film thickness 0.6-8 mm, inner diameter > 6mm).
2. Align the hardness gauge bayonet and snap it on the sample to be tested.
3. Read the hardness value (HW) indicated by the pointer on the dial.
Notice
• Before use, please confirm that the sample material is soft brass or copper, and its hardness is within the instrument range (18~ 100HRE).
• Ensure that the film thickness of the sample is between 0.6 and 8 mm, and the inner diameter is greater than 6 mm to ensure measurement accuracy.
• When operating, the sample should be stuck correctly to avoid improper operation affecting the measurement results or damaging the instrument pointer.
• Regularly calibrate the instrument using the included standard hardness block to maintain measurement accuracy.
• The instrument is powered by 2 1.5V AAA batteries, please pay attention to replacing the batteries in time.
Do not use the instrument for hardness testing of materials outside the specified range or beyond its measurement range.
