Overview
The KAIRDA DL Impact device is a special impact device for Leeb hardness testers, suitable for Hardness detection of slender and narrow grooves or holes. The device has specific impact energy, size and weight parameters and can be used with the KAIRDA Leeb hardness tester to meet the needs of different Hardness detection scenarios.
Features
Impact energy of 11mJ, suitable for precision Hardness detection
2. The ball head is made of tungsten carbide material, Hardness up to 1600HV, Abrasion Resistance
3. Diameter 20mm, length 86 (147)/75mm, compact design for easy operation
4. Dedicated to the measurement of slender narrow grooves or holes, expanding the detection range
5. The maximum measurable Hardness value is 940HV, covering a variety of hardness of materials
Principle
The DL Impact device releases 11 mJ of Impact energy to form a Cedar on the surface of the tungsten carbide ball head Impact specimen, and calculates the Hardness value according to the Cedar diameter or depth. The device is specially designed for slender narrow grooves or holes to ensure accurate Hardness measurement in confined spaces.
Applications
Hardness measurement of slender narrow groove, Hardness measurement of hole inner wall
Steps
1. Select the DL Impact device and install it on the KAIRDA Leeb hardness tester
2. Ensure that the weight of the specimen is greater than 5kg, or provide stable support for the 2-5kg specimen, and tightly couple the 0.05-2kg specimen
3. Check that the surface roughness of the specimen does not exceed 1.6 μm, the test thickness is not less than 5mm, and the depth of the hardened layer is not less than 0.8mm.
4. Impact device aligned with slender narrow grooves or holes for measurement
5. Read the Hardness value displayed by the hardness gauge
Notice
• The minimum weight of the specimen should be greater than 5kg, otherwise support or coupling measures should be taken
• The average surface asperity of the specimen should not exceed 1.6 μm
• The minimum test thickness of the specimen is 5mm
• Minimum depth of hardened layer should be ≥ 0.8mm
• Suitable for measurement scenarios with slender narrow grooves or holes
