Overview
DGC Type D Leeb hardness tester Probe is the standard Impact device model of Leeb hardness tester, suitable for the measurement of Hardness of various steels. The Type D Impact device is a general-purpose part for measurement.
Features
1. Impact device standard model, suitable for measurement of various steel Hardness
2. Specially designed for measurement
3. Impact energy of 11 (Num)
4. Impact device mass 75g, Impact device mass 5.5g
5. Ball Hardness 1600 (HV), ball diameter 3mm, using tungsten carbide material
6. Maximum Specimen Hardness up to 940HV
7. The minimum test thickness of the specimen is 3mm, and the minimum depth of the hardened layer is 0.8mm.
Principle
The D-Probe generates 11 (Num) of Impact energy through the Impact device, uses the surface of the tungsten carbide ball head Impact specimen to form a Cedar, and calculates the hardness of materials by measuring the Cedar parameter. The Cedar diameter ranges from 0.35mm to 0.54mm, and the Cedar depth ranges from 17 (un) to 24 (un).
Applications
Hardness measurement of various steel parts
Steps
1. Ensure that the weight of the specimen is at least 5kg, and the stable support weight is 2kg.
2. Check the surface roughness of the specimen, the maximum does not exceed 10A, the average asperity 2A
3. Confirm the minimum thickness of the specimen is 3mm, and the minimum depth of the hardened layer is 0.8mm.
4. Align Probe to test position for measurement
5. Read and record measurement results
Notice
• The minimum weight of the specimen must reach 5kg
Requires a stable minimum support weight of 2kg
• The maximum surface roughness of the specimen shall not exceed 10A
• The average surface asperity of the specimen should be 2A
• The minimum test thickness of the specimen is 3mm
• Minimum depth of hardened layer is 0.8mm
• Ensure that the Impact Device is installed and used correctly
