Overview
The DGC D + 15 Leeb hardness tester Probe is an optional Impact unit designed for measuring grooves or concave surfaces for Leeb hardness testers.
Features
1. Dedicated to measurement of grooves or concave surfaces
2. Optional Impact device, compatible with Leeb hardness tester
3. Impact energy of 11 (Num), Impact device mass of 7.3g
4. Hardness of ball head, up to 1600 (HV), ball head diameter is 3mm, material is tungsten carbide
5. Impact device diameter 20mm, length 86mm, total mass 50g
6. Support the maximum specimen Hardness 940HV, asperity in line with N7 (ISO) standard
7. The maximum surface roughness of the specimen is 10 μm, and the average asperity is 2 μm.
8. The minimum weight of the specimen is 5kg, and the minimum test thickness is 3mm.
9.The minimum depth of hardened layer is 0.8mm, and the diameter and depth parameters of Crain are accurate
Principle
The D + 15 Probe is used as the impact device of the Leeb hardness tester. Impact energy acts on the surface of the specimen to generate Cedar. Hardness values are calculated according to parameters such as Cedar diameter and depth, specifically for the measurement needs of grooves or concave surfaces.
Applications
Measurement of grooves or recessed surfaces
Steps
Install the D + 15 Probe on a compatible Leeb hardness tester
2. Ensure that the surface of the specimen is clean and meets the asperity requirements (maximum 10 μm, average 2 μm)
3. Align Probes into trenches or recesses for measurement
4. Read the Hardness value displayed by the hardness gauge
5. As needed, repeability measurement to ensure accuracy
Notice
• The minimum weight of the specimen is 5kg, and it is necessary to ensure stable support
• The minimum test thickness of the specimen is 3mm to avoid too thin specimens
• Minimum depth of hardened layer should reach 0.8mm
• The surface roughness of the specimen shall not exceed 10 μm, and the average asperity shall be controlled within 2 μm
• Check the status of the Probe ball head before use to ensure no damage
• For compatible Leeb hardness testers only, avoid mismatch use
