Overview
HUITAO HT-2285-4 Martindale Wear resistance Tester is a professional equipment used to test the Abrasion Resistance and pilling performance of fabrics. It is suitable for the determination of abrasion resistance and apparent pilling performance of woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, non-woven fabrics, decorative materials, coating fabrics and other materials.
Features
1. Adopt swirl/spin friction method, and the friction contact form is surface contact to ensure test uniformity.
2. Equipped with four stations, multiple sets of tests can be conducted simultaneously to improve efficiency.
3. Wide counting range, support 0-999999 friction counts.
4. Large stroke design, horizontal 60.5 +/- 0.5mm, vertical 24 +/- 0.5mm, to adapt to different testing requirements.
5. A variety of pressurized mass options are available, including grippers, fabric sample weights, furniture decoration sample weights, and stainless steel discs to meet different standard requirements.
6. The effective friction diameter of the grinding block can be selected from Type A and Type B, corresponding to different pressure and diameter specifications.
7. The relative movement speed of the gripper and the grinding table is adjustable, with a range of 20-70r/min, allowing for flexible adaptation to test conditions.
8. The mass of the sample pressure hammer is 2385 +/- 10g to ensure that the sample is fixed and stable.
Principle
The tested fabric is installed in the upper sample fixture and rubbed against the abrasive installed on the grinding table, and the friction track is Li Sharu pattern. According to the test requirements, after the specified friction stage, the fabric is removed for the calculation of the wear resistance index or the visual description method is used to evaluate the fluff and pilling grades of the sample.

Steps
1. Install the fabric under test into the upper specimen holder.
2. Install the abrasive on the grinding table.
3. Set the friction times and speed parameters according to the test requirements.
4. Start the device for friction test, and the friction trajectory is Li Sharu graphic.
5. After the test is completed, remove the fabric.
6. Calculate the wear resistance index or visually evaluate the pilling grade.
Notice
• Ensure that the specimen is firmly installed to avoid loosening during testing.
• Select the appropriate pressurized mass and abrasive block type according to the test criteria.
• Regularly check the operating status of the equipment to maintain cleanliness and maintenance.
• Verify that the counting range and speed settings meet the requirements before testing.
• Clean the mill and fixture in time after use to prevent residues from affecting the next test.
