Overview
The putty coating scraper is designed and manufactured according to the coating and scraping method in GB1727 "General Preparative Method of Lacquer Film". This instrument is suitable for preparing putty film and thick paint film evenly on various substrates (such as tinplate, steel plate, Aluminum Panel) to prepare for measuring the general performance of paint film.
Features
1. Design and manufacture according to the national standard GB/T1727 to ensure the standardization of the prepative film.
2. Provide three different thicknesses of standard templates (0.5mm, 0.7mm, 1.0mm), which can be freely selected according to product standard requirements.
3. The structure is composed of baseplate, membrane frame and drawdown blade, and the membrane frame is fixed by fixing screws, and the operation is stable and reliable.
4. Suitable for the standard pattern of prepative putty film, providing the basis for the performance measurement of the paint film.
Principle
The Working Principle of the putty scraper is to fix the film frame of a specific thickness on the baseplate, and press the puttying or thick paint with the drawdown blade to obtain a uniform film that conforms to the selected thickness. Due to the different paint compositions, the dry-film thickness formed after wet-film drying will change, so this needs to be fully considered when choosing to use the standard thickness film frame.
Applications
Used for preparing putty film and thick paint film on various substrates (tinplate, steel plate, Aluminum Panel) to determine the general performance of paint film
Steps
1. Substrate surface preparation: tinplate or steel plate is first sanding derusting with No. 0 abrasive paper or No. 200 water sandpaper and removing the tin plating layer, cleaning and drying with solvent; Aluminum Panel is cleaned and dried with solvent.
2. Put the test plate on the base, select the standard film frame according to the thickness of the putty required by the product standard and place it on it, and swirl/spin two pressing screws will press the template tightly.
3. Use the metal drawdown blade to evenly scrape the putty on the substrate from front to back to form a flat putty film.
4. Loosen the pressing nut, remove the standard template, and place the scraped putty sample flat at constant temperature and humidity or in the blast drying oven according to the specified conditions.
Notice
• Instruments should be stored in a drying place to prevent corrosion damage.
• After long-term use, the metal drawdown blade may cause abrasion of the standard film frame, and the thickness should be changed regularly. If it exceeds the tolerance requirements, it needs to be replaced.
• Standard film frame should be coated with protective oil to prevent corrosion when not used for a long time.
• After use, use gasoline or solvent to clean and keep clean.
• Under the condition of meeting the storage conditions and normal use, the instrument implements "three guarantees" and is guaranteed for one year free of charge.
