Overview
The QCJ-120 series of paint film impact testers (including 120A and 120B models) are used to determine the impact resistance of the paint film. The impact test plate is dropped from a specific height by a fixed mass weight, and its performance is expressed by the maximum height (cm) that does not cause the paint film to break. The instrument has no secondary rebound after impact, ensuring the accuracy of the test results.
Features
1. Impact height up to 120 cm, meeting high standard testing requirements.
2. Impact test plate, no secondary rebound, to ensure that the test results are stable and reliable.
3. Provide a variety of models (e.g. QCJ-120A, QCJ-120B), suitable for different standards and test conditions.
4. Clear scale, division of 1 cm, easy to accurately set the Impact height.
Principle
The instrument fixes the weight with the hook at the preset height through the controller screw. Press the compression spring of the control screw to align the round hole of the controller slider with the round hole of the upper and lower cover, peeling the hook, and the weight falls freely to hit the punch rod. The punch rod transmits the Impact force to the test plate placed on the pillow pad block. After the test, lift the weight and remove the test plate, observe the condition of the paint film to evaluate its impact resistance.
Applications
Film impact resistance test, powder lame plating profile coating performance evaluation, organic coating rapid deformation test
Standards
GB/T1732—93、GB/T5237.4-2000、ASTM·D2794-92
Steps
1. Placement of the test plate: The test plate paint film is facing up and close to the concave hole of the pillow pad block, and the distance between the Impact point and the edge or each point is not less than 15mm.
2. Height setting: Loosen the controller screw, move the controller to make the positioning mark line coincide with the required height scale line, and tighten the screw to fix it.
3. Test: Press the control screw to release the weight so that it can fall freely on the Impact test plate.
4. Results Observation: Lift the heavy hammer, take out the test plate, and use 4 times magnifying glass to observe whether the paint film is crazing, wrinkling or flaking.
Notice
• When the test plate is placed, the impact point should be at least 15mm away from the edge of the test plate, and the edge spacing of each impact point should not be less than 15mm during multiple tests.
• When setting the height of the weight, make sure that the positioning marking line and the sliding tube scale line are accurately coincided before tightening the controller screw.
The specific test methods should strictly follow the provisions of relevant standards (such as GB/T1732, etc.), and the operation examples are for reference only.
• After the test, a suitable magnifying glass (e.g. 4 times) should be used to carefully check the state of the paint film.
