Principle
The instrument is mainly composed of a scribing frame and a workbench. During the test, the film sample is fixed on the experimental bench of the workbench. After the power is turned on, the workbench drives the sample to move, and the scribing needles on the scribing frame act vertically on the coating surface during the experimental Travel. By changing the Nominal Mass added to the scribing frame, it can be measured whether the paint film can be scratched under different loads. Finally, the minimum Nominal Mass required to scratch the paint film is used to quantify the anti-scratch performance value of the film.

Steps
1. According to GB9271-88 standard, the preparation specification is 120 * 50mm film sample.
2. In an experimental environment with a temperature of 23 +/- 2 ° C and a relative humidity of 50 +/- 5% (refer to GB9278-88), fix the sample on the experimental bench of the workbench.
3. Turn on the 220V 50HZ power supply, and the red indicator light of the power switch is on at this time.
4. Make sure that the return switch is in the "experimental" state, the table will move from right to left, and the scribe needle will contact the template in Travel.
5. Apply weight to the scribing frame and test by changing different weights.
6. After the test is completed, dial the return switch back to the "return" state, and the workbench returns from left to right. At this time, the scribe is lifted without touching the sample.
7. Record the minimum Nominal Mass required to scratch the film to evaluate the film's scratch resistance.

• Test must be in accordance with standard GB9271 - 88 preparation specifications of the film sample.
• Humidity environment (temperature 23 +/- 2 ° C, relative humidity 50 +/- 5%) as specified in the standard.
• The lateral movement of the instrument table can be operated manually after the power is turned off, and the vertical movement is manual operation.
• The traverse speed of the scribing needle is a constant speed (20~ 40mm/s), and the instrument cannot adjust the speed.
• In "Return" Travel, the needle is lifted, and no scratch experiment is performed at this time, which can be used to change the template or adjust the position.
• Keep the instrument properly after use to ensure that the scribing needles and other components are clean and intact.
