Overview
HuiNuo QBB-37 paint Specific Gravity Cup is a special measuring instrument designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB6750-86 "Determination of Paints and varnish density". This product is mainly used to accurately determine the density (specific gravity) of liquid Paints, varnishes and related products at specified temperatures.
Features
1. Designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB6750-86, the measurement results are accurate and reliable.
2. The cup body is made of aluminum alloy, which is sturdy and durable.
3. The cup volume is 37ml, suitable for standard test requirements.
4. Designed for measurement at a standard measurement temperature of 23 ° C.
Principle
The Specific Gravity Cup calculates the density of a sample by measuring the mass difference between a cup of a known volume (37ml) before and after filling the sample to be tested. The basic principle is that density equals mass divided by volume (ω = m/V). To ensure accuracy, the measurement process needs to be carried out under thermostatic conditions and the actual volume of the cup needs to be calibrated periodically with water.
Applications
Paints, varnishes and related products - Determination of density (specific gravity)
Standards
GB6750-86、GB3186-82
Steps
1. Clean the Specific Gravity Cup with a solvent that leaves no residue after evaporation and dry it.
2. Weigh the mass of the Empty Specific Gravity Cup (with lid) at room temperature, and the difference between the two weighings shall not be greater than 0.5 mg.
3. Under the condition of not exceeding 1 ° C below the test temperature, fill the cup with distillation water to prevent bubbles. Place in a thermostatic environment to a constant temperature and wipe off spills and water outside the cup.
4. Immediately weigh the Specific Gravity Cup filled with distillation water to 0.001% of its mass.
5. Use the sample instead of distillation water to repeability the above operation steps.
6. Calculate the density of the specimen at the test temperature using the formula 0001 1 = (m2 - m0)/V.
Notice
• Specific Gravity Cups should be cleaned after use, put in a box, and stored at room temperature.
• If High Accuracy measurement is required, the volume of the Specific Gravity Cup should be calculated in stages.
• Strict temperature control is required during measurement, High Accuracy test should be kept within the range of +/- 0.5 ° C of the test temperature, and production control can be kept within the range of +/- 2 ° C.
• When injecting liquid, it is necessary to strictly prevent bubbles.
• Weighing requires the use of an Analytical Balance or electronic scale with an accuracy of 0.2 mg.
