Overview
HuiNuo QBB-100 paint Specific Gravity Cup is a special measuring instrument designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB6750-86 "Determination of Paints and varnish density". This product is mainly used to accurately determine the density (or specific gravity) of liquid Paints, varnishes and related products at specified temperatures.
Features
1. Designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB6750-86 to ensure measurement accuracy.
2. The cup body is made of aluminum alloy, which is sturdy and durable.
3. The volume is 100ml, meeting standard testing requirements.
4. Suitable for density determination at 23 ° C standard temperature.
Principle
The Specific Gravity Cup measures the density of the liquid sample to be tested by measuring the mass difference between the cup body of a known volume (100ml) under no-load and full-load (distillation water or sample to be tested), combined with the known density of water or directly calculated. The core principle is based on the ratio of mass to volume (ω = m/V).
Applications
Paints, varnishes and related products - Determination of density
Standards
GB6750-86、GB3186-82
Steps
1. Clean the Specific Gravity Cup with a solvent that does not leave residue after evaporation and dry it.
2. Weigh the mass (m0) of the Empty Specific Gravity Cup (with lid) at room temperature, and the difference between the two weighings shall not be greater than 0.5mg.
3. Under the condition of not exceeding 1 ° C below the test temperature, fill the cup with distillation water (to prevent bubbles), place it in thermostatic conditions until the temperature is constant, and wipe off spills and external water stains.
4. Immediately weigh the Specific Gravity Cup mass (m1) filled with distillation water, accurate to 0.001%.
5. With the sample instead of distillation water, the repeability of the above steps 3 and 4 is obtained to obtain the mass (m2) of the Specific Gravity Cup and the sample.
6. Calculate the density of the sample at the test temperature according to the formula 0001 1 = (m2 - m0)/V.
7. If High Accuracy is required, the Specific Gravity Cup volume can be calculated according to the formula V = (m1 - m0)/γ water in stages.
Notice
• Ensure that the Specific Gravity Cup is clean and drying before testing.
• Strictly prevent bubbles when filling with liquid.
• Weighing requires the use of an Analytical Balance or electronic scale with an accuracy of 0.2mg.
• High thermostatic control requirements: High Accuracy test should be maintained within the range of +/- 0.5 ° C of the test temperature, and production control can be maintained within the range of +/- 2 ° C.
• Sampling shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the national standard GB3186-82.
• Small changes in cup volume may be caused by factors such as environment, and the volume should be calculated in stages when the accuracy requirements are high.
