Principle
The 4-sided wet-film film applicator scrapes liquid materials such as coatings and inks on the flat surface of the substrate through its precisely machined stainless steel drawdown blade edge. The gap height between the drawdown blade and the substrate (i.e. 15μm, 30μm, 60μm or 90μm) determines the thickness of the formed wet-film, enabling precise control of the Coating thickness.

Steps
1. Select the desired thickness of the film applicator side.
2. Spreader the material at one end of the flat substrate.
3. Place the film applicator vertically on the substrate to ensure that the edge of the drawdown blade is in full contact with the substrate.
4. At a uniform speed and appropriate pressure, manually (or placed on an automatic film machine) push the film applicator to scrape over the material to form a uniform wet-film.
5. Clean the film applicator for next use.
Notice
• Make sure the film applicator and substrate surface are clean and drying before use.
• When scraping, uniform speed and pressure should be maintained to obtain uniform coating.
• After use, the film applicator should be cleaned with a suitable solvent in time to avoid material curing.
• Please keep it properly to avoid bumping damage to the edge of the drawdown blade and affecting the film accuracy.
