HuiNuo SZQ-160 150/200/250/300 Four-sided Film Applicator is a manual film proofing tool for coatings, inks, paints and other experiments, and can also be used on automatic film machines. The Applicator is made of high-quality wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy steel, with an application width of 160mm and a total length of 190mm. It has four film thicknesses of 150, 200, 250, and 300μm. It can precisely control the wet-film or dry-film thickness to ensure the conformity and Repeatability of coatings. It is suitable for routine quality control and research and development tests.

Principle
The Applicator uses its precision-machined edges to scrape liquid materials such as coatings, inks or paints on the surface of a flat substrate to form a wet-film of a specific thickness. Its four different height cutting edges correspond to four different wet film thicknesses, which are pulled at a uniform speed by manual or Automatic Film Applicator to achieve accurate and repeability control of wet film thickness.

Steps
1. Place the sample of paint, inks or paints to be tested on one end of the flat and clean substrate.
2. According to the required wet film thickness, select the corresponding edge surface of the Applicator.
3. Place the Applicator vertically on the substrate to ensure that the edge is in full contact with the substrate.
4. Pull the Applicator along the surface of the substrate at a uniform and stable speed (manually or through the Automatic Film Applicator) to scrape the sample.
5. Lift the Applicator and leave a flat, uniform thickness wet-film on the substrate.
Notice
* Before use, please ensure that the Applicator edge and substrate surface are clean, drying and free of damage.
* When scraping, keep the Applicator perpendicular to the substrate and apply uniform and stable pressure.
* After use, it should be cleaned with a suitable solvent immediately and kept properly to avoid bumping the edge.
* Please select the appropriate wet film thickness specification according to the experimental requirements.
* This product is a precision instrument, please do not use it for non-specified purposes or withstand undue external force.
