Overview
HuiNuo SZQ-160 5/10/15/20μm 4-sided Applicator is a High Accuracy experimental film appliance with an application width of 160mm and a total length of 190mm. It is an extended 4-sided Applicator. It is made of 9Cr18Mo high-carbon chromium wear-resistant stainless steel, which has good Abrasion Resistance and corrosion resistance. Before leaving the factory, it uses imported three-coordinate accuracy testing and comes with a test report. The accuracy is as high as +/- 2 microns. This product is suitable for sample Moulding proofing in Resin, paint, glue, New material, polymer materials and other fields. It supports non-standard customization and can also be used with laboratory Automatic Film Applicator.

Principle
The 4-sided Applicator scrapes liquid materials such as paint and Resin on a flat substrate through its precisely machined stainless steel body. The bottom of the Applicator has a specific height of gap (corresponding to wet film thicknesses such as 5, 10, 15, 20 μm). When pushed at a constant speed and pressure, a layer of uniform thickness and controllable accuracy wet-film can be formed on the substrate for subsequent drying, curing and performance testing.

Steps
1. Place the substrate to be coated (such as Glass plate, tinplate, etc.) on a flat and stable workbench.
2. Pour an appropriate amount of the sample to be tested (e.g. paint, Resin, etc.) on one end of the substrate.
3. Holding the 4-sided Applicator, place its side with the specific thickness logo facing down and place it smoothly in front of the sample.
4. At a uniform speed and appropriate pressure, scrape the Applicator from one end of the sample to the other, so that the sample forms a uniform wet-film on the substrate.
5. Lift the Applicator to complete the film. Spreader can be selected with different thicknesses as needed.
Notice
• Before use, make sure that the surface of the Applicator and substrate is clean, drying and free of oil.
• When filming, keep the Applicator perpendicular to the substrate, and scrape at a constant speed and in a straight line to avoid pause or tilt.
• After use, the Applicator should be thoroughly cleaned with a suitable solvent (selected according to the nature of the sample), dried with a soft cloth, and stored properly to prevent bumping.
• Do not use hard objects to scratch the working edge of the Applicator, so as not to damage the accuracy.
