Overview
The ISO double-channel Grindometer, named QXP 0-50S, is designed according to the standard Coating inspection method issued by the Ministry of Chemical Industry, the fineness meter measurement method GB/T6753.1-86 and ISO1524-83 standards, and can be used for inspection of Paints and paint pulp. The fineness of pigments, fillers and impurities and other particles is expressed in microns.
Features
1. double-channel design, providing two scraping grooves
2. Range 0~ 50μm, Graduation 5μm
3. The scraper and drawdown blade are made of stainless steel
4. The size of the scraper is 175mm * 65mm * 13mm, and the groove size is 140 * 12.5mm.
5. The drawdown blade size is 90mm * 40mm * 6mm
6. The slope is 1:3000 to ensure Measurement accuracy
7. The flatness of the upper plane of the scraper is 0.003mm, and the flatness of the bottom plane of the inclined groove is 0.003mm.
8. drawdown blade two knife edge plane flatness up to 0.002mm
9. Strict surface roughness control, scraper upper plane Ra ≤ 0.2, chute Ra ≤ 0.5, drawdown blade Ra ≤ 0.2
Principle
The fineness meter through the double-channel structure on the scraper, using the drawdown blade to evenly scrape the sample in the chute, according to the distribution of particles in the chute, the fineness value of the particles such as pigment, filler and impurities in the Paints and paint paste is read by scale, and quantified in microns.
Applications
Coating inspection, Paints fineness measurement, Paint paste particle analysis
Standards
GB/T6753.1-86、ISO1524-83
Steps
1. Prepare the sample to be tested
2. Place the sample in the scraper groove
3. Use the drawdown blade to scrape the sample evenly
4. Observe the distribution of particles in the chute
5. Read the fineness value according to the scale
Notice
• Make sure the scraper and drawdown blade are clean and drying before use
• Maintain uniform force when scraping
• Avoid drawdown blade damage
• Clean the instrument in time after measurement
Store in a drying environment
