Overview
This stainless steel Grindometer is designed according to the standard Coating inspection method GB1724-79 issued by the Ministry of Chemical Industry. It is used for inspection of the fineness of pigments, fillers and impurities in Paints and paint slurries, expressed in microns. The product is made of stainless steel to ensure durability and Accuracy.
Features
1. Made of stainless steel, corrosion resistance and long service life;
2. Single-channe design, easy to operate;
3. Measurement range is 0~ 100μm, Graduation is 5μm, Measurement accuracy is high;
4. Scraper and drawdown blade finish and flatness meet high standards to ensure measurement accuracy;
5. Compliant with GB1724-79 standard, Reliability.
Principle
The fineness meter scrapes the sample on the scraper groove through the drawdown blade. According to the distribution of particles in the groove, the scale is read to determine the fineness of pigments, fillers and impurity particles in Paints, paint paste or inks. The results are expressed in microns.
Applications
Paints, paint paste, inks
Steps
1. Prepare samples to ensure uniform bubble-free;
2. Place the sample at the beginning of the scraper groove;
3. Use the drawdown blade to scrape through the groove at constant speed and pressure;
4. Immediately observe particle distribution under appropriate rays of light;
5. Read the highest point of particle appearance on the groove scale and record the fineness value.
Notice
- Check whether the scraper and drawdown blade are clean and free of damage before use;
- Keep the drawdown blade perpendicular to the scraper when scraping the sample to avoid tilting;
- The operating environment should have sufficient rays of light for accurate readings;
- Clean the instrument in time after use to prevent sample residue from affecting the accuracy;
- Avoid drawdown blade and scraper from impact, so as not to affect the flatness and finish.
