Overview
This product is JINGKELIAN QXD 0-25 (cr12 molybdenum vanadium) Grindometer, designed according to the standard GB1724-79 of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, used to determine the fineness of pigments, fillers and impurities in Paints, paint pulps and inks. The results are expressed in microns.
Features
1. Designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB1724-79.
2. Using CR12 molybdenum vanadium material, sturdy and durable.
3. The key working face of scraper and drawdown blade has high finish, good flatness and reliable Measurement accuracy.
4. Single-channe design, range 0-25μm, Graduation 2.5μm, clear scale.
Principle
The fineness meter scrapes the sample to be tested by placing it in the chute of the scraper and using the matching drawdown blade to scrape along the length of the chute at a uniform speed. The particles in the sample will leave traces on the gradual change of the depth of the scraper chute. The fineness value of the sample can be determined by observing the scale where the particles begin to appear in large quantities.
Applications
Determination of fineness of Paints, Paste and inks
Steps
1. Drop the sample to be tested into the deeper end of the scraper chute.
2. Use the drawdown blade to make the edge perpendicular to the plane of the scraper and stick to the surface of the scraper.
3. At a uniform speed and appropriate pressure, pull the drawdown blade from the deep end of the chute to the shallow end, so that the sample fills the entire chute.
4. Under the specified lighting conditions, immediately (usually within 3 seconds) observe the position where the particles in the chute are uniformly exposed at an angle of 15-30 ° to the plane of the scraper.
5. Read the scale value corresponding to this position, which is the fineness of the sample, in microns (μm).
Notice
• Before use, ensure that the measurement face of the scraper and drawdown blade is clean, drying and abrasion-free.
• When scraping the sample, the drawdown blade should be kept vertical and the pressure should be uniform.
• The reading should be done quickly and within the specified time after scraping the sample to avoid sample flow or volatilization affecting the results.
• Immediately after use, clean the scraper and drawdown blade with a suitable solvent, wipe them clean, and keep them properly.
• Avoid bumping or scratching between the edge of the drawdown blade and the working surface of the scraper to prevent damage from affecting the Measurement accuracy.
