Overview
QXD 50-150 stainless steel Grindometer is designed according to the standard GB1724-79 issued by the Ministry of Chemical Industry, which is used for inspection of the fineness of pigments, fillers and impurities in Paints and paint slurries, expressed in microns.
Features
1. Made of stainless steel to ensure durability and corrosion resistance
2. Single scraping groove design, range 50~ 150μm, Graduation 10μm
3. High Accuracy Processing, Scraper Top Surface Finish 10, Chute Bottom Finish 8
4. Strict flatness control, drawdown blade edge flatness 0.002mm, scraper flat flatness 0.003mm
Principle
The sample is scraped on the scraper groove by the drawdown blade, and the corresponding fineness value is read according to the depth of the trace left by the particles in the groove, and the particle fineness is expressed in microns.
Applications
Paints, paint paste, inks
Steps
1. Place the sample to be tested at the beginning of the scraper groove
2. Use the drawdown blade to scrape the entire groove length at a uniform speed
3. Immediately observe the location of particle traces in the groove
4. Read the corresponding scale value, which is the sample fineness
Notice
• Ensure that the scraper and drawdown blade are clean and free of contamination before use
• Maintain uniform speed and pressure when scraping
• Read the results immediately after scraping
• Avoid drawdown blade collisions with hard objects to prevent damage
• Clean and store properly after use
