Overview
TQC VF2020 viscosity cup is a viscosity cup with a filter diameter of 4mm, also known as No. 4 viscosity cup. It is an aluminum viscosity cup produced and designed according to DIN 53211 standard. The cup body is made of titanium anodic oxidation aluminum, and the cup holder and cup nozzle are made of stainless steel, which has good Abrasion Resistance. The viscosity cup is used for the viscosity measurement of paints, varnishes and other liquids, and can be used with a bracket. The filter can be freely replaced with a stainless steel filter with a aperture of 1mm-8mm.
Features
1. The annular groove design of the cup mouth can store the overflowing liquid
2. Dimension design can be used with TQC VF2020 viscosity cup bracket
3. Easy to clean, cup wall and outflow hole structure without difficult to clean sinkage
4. Production has consistent quality control
5. Each viscosity cup is engraved with a unique serial number
Principle
The VF2020 viscosity cup measures the viscosity of the liquid by measuring the time it takes for the liquid to flow out of the standard aperture. According to the standard, the temperature of the liquid to be tested is 25 degrees Celsius, and the temperature fluctuation during the test does not exceed +/-0.2 degrees Celsius. The viscosity value is determined by measuring the time the liquid flows out of the outflow hole until the first stop occurs by selecting the viscosity cup of the appropriate pore size.
Applications
Paints, varnishes, other liquids
Steps
1. Adjust the temperature of the liquid to be tested to 25 degrees Celsius
2. Select the appropriate pore size viscosity cup according to the estimated viscosity range
3. Adjust viscosity cup to horizontal position
4. Cover the outflow hole and inject the liquid to be tested until the liquid level exceeds the edge of the cup mouth
5. Glass drawing plate to move the liquid curved part into the overflow ring and close the viscosity cup
6. Ensure that the distance between the outflow hole and the liquid level of the recovered sample is greater than 100mm
7. Open the outflow hole and remove the Glass drawing plate to start timing
8. Timed until the first interruption of the liquid beam occurs
Notice
• Clean the outflow hole to remove residue and avoid scratching the inner surface
• It is a precision appliance and should not be dropped or hit.
• It needs to be cleaned after use
• Use soft cloth when cleaning, do not use wire brush or sandpaper
• Do not tap directly when disassembling the cup mouth, use the equipped pin stick to resist it and then tap.
• Make sure the cup nozzle and viscosity cup are clean before installing the cup nozzle
• Put the viscosity cup back in the box when not in use
It is recommended to calibrate once a year
