Product Overview
The DR6000A Coating Thickness Gauge is a high-range anti-corrosion coating thickness gauge that operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It complies with the GB/T4956-2003 standard and is a specialized non-destructive testing instrument for measuring the thickness of coatings or overlays on the surface of magnetic metal materials. It enables non-destructive measurement of non-magnetic coatings (such as paint, electrophoretic coatings, powder coatings, spray coatings, asphalt, polyethylene, galvanizing, chromium, copper, indium, enamel, rubber, porcelain enamel, anti-corrosion and fireproof coatings, etc.) on magnetic metal substrates like steel and iron. The device is easy to use, portable, and features an extra-large LCD screen with large characters and backlighting for clear, direct reading. It is equipped with high-quality imported metal probes, designed with a precise and durable structure for excellent repeatability.

Working Principle
This instrument employs the principle of electromagnetic induction, in accordance with the national industry standard GB/T4956-2003, to non-destructively measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates (such as steel and iron) by assessing their impact on the electromagnetic field.
Application Field
Coating industry, manufacturing, metal processing industry, chemical industry, commodity inspection, and other testing fields.
Complies with standards
GB/T4956-2003
Operating Procedures
1. Power on.
2. Select the measurement mode as needed (continuous measurement or single measurement).
3. Choose the appropriate calibration method according to measurement requirements (zero calibration, two-point calibration, or multi-point calibration).
4. In single measurement mode, you can set upper and lower limit alarm values as needed.
5. Place the probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be measured.
6. Read the measurement result displayed on the screen.
7. The instrument can automatically store measurement data and allows grouped viewing or deletion.
8. After measurement is completed, you can choose to manually shut down or wait for the instrument to automatically shut down.
Precautions
• Ensure the probe is perpendicular to the surface being measured during measurement.
• The instrument features automatic substrate identification, but the substrate type should still be confirmed before measurement.
• During calibration and measurement, ensure both the substrate surface and the probe are clean.
• In single measurement mode, upper and lower limit alarms can be set; the instrument will alert if values exceed the range.
• During operation in single measurement mode, a buzzer sound will provide prompts.
• Pay attention to the battery level of the instrument; it can be charged via the Type-C interface.
• When storing data, manage it in groups to avoid confusion.
• Data transmission functions (USB or Bluetooth) are customized options; please confirm the instrument configuration before use.
