Product Overview
The DDR15A Coating Thickness Gauge is a portable, rechargeable, and large-range coating thickness gauge, specifically designed for the non-destructive measurement of anti-corrosion and fireproof coating thickness. It operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, in accordance with the national industry standard GB/T4956-2003, and is a professional non-destructive testing instrument used to measure the thickness of coatings or overlays on the surface of magnetic metal materials. It can non-destructively measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates (such as steel and iron), including paints, electrophoretic coatings, powders, spray coatings, asphalt, polyethylene, galvanized layers, chrome, copper, indium, enamel, rubber, porcelain enamel, 3PE, anti-corrosion and fireproof coatings, etc. It is easy to use, portable, and features an extra-large LCD screen with large characters and backlight for clear and direct reading. Equipped with high-quality imported metal probes, it boasts a precise and durable structure, high sensitivity, fast testing speed, excellent repeatability, and superior performance.

Working Principle
The instrument operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction and is used to measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates (such as steel and iron).
Application Field
For measuring the thickness of surface coating or plating layers on magnetic metal materials.
Complies with the standard
GB/T4956-2003
Operating steps
1. Select the measurement mode (continuous measurement or single measurement).
2. Perform calibration as needed (zero calibration, two-point calibration, or multi-point calibration).
3. Place the probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be measured.
4. Read the measurement result displayed on the screen.
5. Set upper and lower limit alarms (available in single measurement mode).
6. Store, view, or delete data as required.
7. Choose the unit system (μm, Mil, mm).
8. Turn off the device manually after use or wait for automatic shutdown.
Precautions
• Ensure the probe is placed vertically on the surface of the coating being measured.
• The instrument features an automatic shutdown function and can also be manually turned off to save power.
• The built-in lithium battery can be charged via the Type-C interface.
• The upper and lower limit alarm function can only be set in single measurement mode.
• Bluetooth synchronous data transmission is a customizable option.
