Product Overview
The SBDY-3PN Digital Whiteness Meter is a precision instrument designed for measuring the whiteness of objects. It utilizes high-quality imported components and a simplified optical path design to ensure stable operation and extended service life. Its well-designed sample holder and movable platform effectively prevent light leakage during measurements. Calibration is performed using a national standard whiteboard to transfer correction values, ensuring accurate measurement results.
Product Features
1. Equipped with an RS232 communication interface for connecting printers.
2. Uses a high-efficiency, low-loss switching power supply for higher reliability.
3. Utilizes high-quality imported components for stable operation and longer service life.
4. Features a streamlined optical path design for easier use and maintenance.
5. Incorporates a well-designed sample holder and movable platform to effectively prevent light leakage from the measurement aperture.
6. Employs a nationally calibrated whiteboard for value transfer, ensuring more accurate measurements.
Working Principle
This digital whiteness meter operates based on the principle of light reflection. An internal light source illuminates the sample, and a detector captures the light signal reflected from the sample, converting it into an electrical signal. After processing, the signal is compared and calculated against the reference value of the built-in national calibration whiteboard, ultimately displaying the whiteness value of the sample on the digital screen.
Application Field
Paper, textiles, coatings, plastics, building materials, ceramics, chemical raw materials, food
Complies with standards
GB/T 5950、ISO 2470
Operating procedures
1. Power on and warm up.
2. Calibrate the instrument using the included national standard calibration whiteboard.
3. Place the sample flat on the sample holder, ensuring it fully covers the measurement aperture.
4. Press the measurement button and wait for the reading to stabilize.
5. Record the measurement results or output them via the RS232 interface.
6. After measurement, turn off the power.
Precautions
• The instrument should be placed on a stable, vibration-free workbench away from direct strong light.
• The calibration whiteboard should be kept clean, free from scratches and contamination, and stored in its protective case when not in use.
• During measurement, ensure the sample fully covers the measurement aperture and that the sample surface is flat and free of wrinkles.
• Avoid using or storing the instrument in environments with high temperature, high humidity, or corrosive gases.
• Regularly clean the optical window of the instrument using a soft, lint-free cloth for gentle wiping.
• Non-professionals should not attempt to disassemble the instrument.
• If the instrument is not used for an extended period, it should be powered on periodically to maintain its performance.
