Product Overview
The TQC Sheen Compact Automatic Film Applicator AB3652 is a coating device specifically designed for laboratory use, suitable for applying coatings and paint films onto test charts, panels, or foils. Based on A4-sized charts, the coating speed of this device can be adjusted within a range of 1 to 150 mm/s, ensuring a reliable coating process and repeatable results. It is compatible with various standard coating tools and can be equipped with a replaceable vacuum bed, making it an ideal choice for coating tests and experiments in laboratories.
Product Features
1. Suitable for A4 size charts.
2. Coating speed can be set from 1 to 150 mm/s.
3. Compatible with various standard block coaters (such as Bird-type, Baker-type) and spiral wire rod coaters.
4. Simple and intuitive operation interface.
5. Equipped with a removable backing plate.
6. Powered by safe 24 VDC.
7. Replaceable vacuum bed (glass or perforated bed).
Working Principle
This film applicator drives the coating tool (such as a film applicator or wire rod) via a motor to move smoothly at a set constant speed over the substrate to be coated (such as an A4 chart), thereby forming a uniform and thickness-controlled coating or paint film. The optional vacuum bed secures the substrate, ensuring stability and consistency during the coating process.
Application Field
Laboratory coating testing, paint film preparation, coatings R&D, quality control
Complies with standards
ASTM D823
Operating steps
1. Prepare A4-sized test charts, panels, or foils as substrates.
2. Select and install the appropriate coating tool (e.g., block coater or wire rod) as needed.
3. Place the substrate on the coater's worktable, ensuring it is secured if using a vacuum bed.
4. Set the desired coating speed (1–150 mm/s) via the control interface.
5. Start the equipment; the coater will automatically complete the coating process.
6. After coating is finished, remove the sample for subsequent testing or drying.
Precautions
• Before operation, ensure that the device is powered by a safe 24 VDC power supply.
• Select the appropriate coating tool and speed according to the testing requirements.
• When using the vacuum bed, ensure that the substrate is firmly adsorbed to prevent movement.
• Regularly clean the coating tools and work area to ensure coating quality.
• Do not intervene or make adjustments while the equipment is running.
• Refer to relevant standards (such as ASTM D823) for testing.
