Working principle
The instrument uses a mechanical device to perform reciprocating scrubbing on the coating applied to a standard test panel. The number of scrubbing cycles is automatically counted by the instrument and directly displayed on the touchscreen. The scrub resistance of the coating is evaluated based on the number of cycles required for the coating surface to wear through and expose the substrate.

Used to evaluate the washability of coatings and the performance of any surface treated with thin-film composites, such as paint, electroplating, flooring, topcoats, wood density, etc.

Operating procedures
1. Prepare standard test panels as per the standard requirements and apply the coating to be tested.
2. Fill the liquid storage cylinder at the top of the instrument with the test scrubbing medium, and adjust the dripping speed according to national standards.
3. Install the test panel onto the instrument.
4. Set the test parameters (such as the number of scrubbing cycles) via the touchscreen.
5. Start the instrument to begin the automatic scrubbing test.
6. The instrument automatically counts the cycles and stops when the set number is reached or when the coating is scrubbed to the specified extent.
7. Directly read the number of scrubbing cycles from the touchscreen, and evaluate the scrubbing resistance of the coating based on the results.
Precautions
• During the test, adjust the water dripping speed according to the requirements of the national standard.
• The instrument should be used in conjunction with the national standard GB/T9755-2014.
