Product Overview
The AISRY NBC-5608S electric pencil hardness tester is a device specifically designed for hardness testing of finished spray coatings, such as the casings of various household appliances and digital products like mobile phones, MP3/MP4 players, and laptops. This device utilizes electric (semi-automatic) control, achieving stable and low-noise back-and-forth motion through stepper motor transmission, and the testing stroke can be adjusted according to specific requirements.
Product Features
1. Specifically designed for hardness testing of various finished spray coatings.
2. Equipped with electric (semi-automatic) control for stable operation and low noise.
3. Utilizes a stepper motor drive to achieve adjustable forward and backward movements.
4. The testing stroke can be adjusted according to specific requirements.
Working Principle
This hardness tester assesses the hardness of a coating by scratching its surface with a hardness pencil. During testing, the hardness pencil is fixed at a 45° angle, with the tip of the lead in contact with the coating surface under an appropriate load. The test platform then moves at a specified speed (e.g., 0.5 mm/sec according to JIS standards), allowing the coating surface to pass over the pencil lead. The softest pencil grade that does not cause damage (scratching) to the coating is considered the hardness grade of the coating.
Application Fields
Hardness testing of coatings on various household appliance and digital product shells, such as mobile phone shells, MP3/MP4 shells, laptop shells, etc.
Operating Steps
1. Secure the sample to be tested on the testing platform.
2. Select a pencil of appropriate hardness and fix it at a 45° angle on the device, ensuring the tip of the pencil lead contacts the coating surface.
3. Apply the appropriate load (e.g., 500g, 250g) to the pencil according to the test requirements.
4. Start the device. The testing platform will move at the set speed (e.g., 5 mm/s), allowing the sample surface to pass under the pencil lead.
5. Observe whether scratches appear on the coating surface. The hardness of the coating is determined by the softest pencil grade that does not cause damage.
Precautions
* Before testing, ensure the sample is securely fixed on the test platform.
* Select and apply the load correctly according to the testing standards and requirements.
* The movement speed of the test platform can be adjusted according to the specifications (e.g., JIS).
* After use, properly store accessories such as standard pencils and weights.
* The device operates on 220V / 50Hz power supply; please ensure the power supply matches.
