Product Overview
The DJ-6A Pulsed Electric Spark Leak Detector is a high-voltage instrument produced by Kedian Instruments, specifically designed to assess the quality of metal anti-corrosion coatings. This device can inspect coatings of varying thicknesses, such as glass-lined coatings, fiberglass-reinforced plastics, epoxy coal tar asphalt, and rubber linings. When defects such as pinholes, bubbles, gaps, or cracks are present in the coating, the instrument emits a bright electric spark accompanied by audible and visual alarms. Powered by nickel batteries, it is particularly suitable for field operation environments.
Product Features
1. Specifically designed for the quality inspection of metal anti-corrosion coatings.
2. Capable of detecting various types of coatings, such as glass-lined, fiberglass-reinforced plastic, epoxy coal tar pitch, and rubber linings.
3. When coating defects (pinholes, bubbles, fissures, cracks) are detected, it emits a bright electric spark and provides audible and visual alarms.
4. Powered by nickel batteries, it offers strong portability and is particularly suitable for field operations.
Working principle
This instrument is a high-voltage pulse spark leak detector. During operation, the instrument generates high-voltage pulses. When the probe moves over the coating surface, if there are quality defects in the coating (such as pinholes, bubbles, cracks, etc.), the high voltage will break down the air gap or weak points at the defect, producing a bright electric spark. Simultaneously, it triggers audible and visual alarms to indicate the location of the defect.
Application field
Chemical, petroleum, rubber, and enamel industries
