Product Overview
HS-AM Digital Shore AM Type Hardness Tester, also known as Shore Hardness Tester or Rubber and Plastic Hardness Tester, is suitable for hardness measurement of thin samples with a thickness of less than 6mm, such as plastics, leather, rubber, elastomers, polyesters, and wax. Equipped with dedicated PC operation software, it can connect to a computer to achieve functions such as data storage, analysis, export, query, and printing. It is widely used in quality inspection, physical experiments, engineering testing, and other fields.
Product Features
1. Specifically designed for testing thin samples.
2. LCD display for more intuitive readings.
3. Real-time mode: Displays real-time changes in hardness values during testing.
4. Peak mode: Records the peak hardness value during the testing process.
5. Automatic timing mode: The force holding time during testing can be set (e.g., vulcanized rubber holds force for 3 seconds before reading hardness, thermoplastic rubber holds force for 15 seconds before reading hardness).
6. Average mode: The number of tests can be set.
7. Automatic shutdown function.
8. PC software: Chinese WINDOWS interface.
9. Multiple coordinate curve displays for test results: real-time hardness value vs. time, peak hardness value vs. number of tests, timed hardness value vs. number of tests.
10. Qualification judgment: In addition to automatically obtaining test results, it can also determine qualification based on the preset standard value range.
11. Automatic storage: Test data and curves are automatically saved to the computer with unlimited storage capacity.
12. Test data: The obtained test data can be queried and exported in Excel format.
13. Test report: Test reports can be generated according to user-specified formats, compiled into reports, and printed.
Working Principle
This hardness tester characterizes the hardness of a material by measuring the depth to which the indenter penetrates the material under a specific spring force. The included dedicated host computer software can collect, process, and display hardness data in real-time, supporting multiple testing modes to meet the testing requirements of different standards and application scenarios.
Application Areas
Quality inspection, physical experiments, engineering testing
Complies with standards
ISO 48-4:2018、ISO7619-1:2004、GBT531.1-2008
Operating Steps
1. Connect the hardness tester to the computer and launch the host computer software.
2. Select the appropriate test mode (such as real-time, peak, automatic timing, or average mode) on the hardness tester or software according to the type of material being tested and standard requirements, and set the corresponding parameters (such as force holding time and number of tests).
3. Press the hardness tester's indenter vertically and steadily onto the surface of the sample.
4. Depending on the selected mode, read or wait for the device to automatically record the hardness value.
5. Test data will be automatically uploaded to the software, allowing for curve viewing, data analysis, pass/fail judgment, storage, export, or report generation.
Precautions
• This instrument is suitable for thin samples with a thickness of less than 6mm.
• During testing, ensure that the indenter contacts the sample surface vertically and steadily.
• Correctly set the force holding time according to the type of material being tested (e.g., vulcanized rubber, thermoplastic rubber).
• Ensure the device is calibrated before use.
• Do not use the device beyond the specified environmental conditions.
• Perform regular maintenance on the equipment to ensure testing accuracy.
