Product Overview
The Huitao HT-111 Abrasion Tester is a specialized device designed for evaluating the scratch resistance of materials. It is widely applicable across various fields, including rigid organic materials, coatings and adhesives, powder coatings, anodized materials, soft metals, plastics, and glass. Additionally, it can be used to assess the adhesive quality of protective coatings on similar materials and test the performance limits of comparable materials.
Product Features
1. The instrument structure is composed of a balance beam, fixed weights, adjustable weights, sample loading disc, etc., with a reasonable design.
2. Before testing, the height of the balance beam can be flexibly adjusted according to the sample thickness to ensure precise testing conditions.
3. By moving the adjustable weights, the test weight applied to the sample can be precisely controlled.
4. The sample loading disc rotates counterclockwise, allowing the scraping head to leave clear arc-shaped scratches on the sample surface, facilitating result evaluation.
Working Principle
During the test, first place the sample in the groove of the thickness control device and adjust the nut for positioning. Install the sample on the rotatable circular platform and secure it with a pressure block and nut. Mount the scratching head into the corresponding groove in the middle of the scale lever. Rotate the balance lever so that the tip of the scratching head just contacts the surface of the sample. After starting the instrument, the rotating disk drives the sample to move, and the scratching head creates scratches on the sample surface to evaluate the material's wear resistance.
Application Field
Rigid organic materials, coating adhesives, powder coatings, anodized materials, soft metals, plastics, glass
Complies with standards
AS/NZS 2924.2、ASTM C217、GB/T 17657-2022、BS EN 438.2、BS EN 13310、BS EN 14323、DIN 68861-4、DIN 53799、GB 4943:2.10.6.6、IEC 60950:2.10.6.6、GB 4706.1:21.2、IEC 60335-1:21.2
Operating steps
1. Adjust the height of the balance beam according to the thickness of the sample to ensure that the balance beam remains level after installing the scratching head and the sample.
2. Place the sample into the groove of the thickness control device and adjust the position of the nut.
3. Install the sample on the rotatable circular platform and secure it with a pressure block and nut.
4. Install the scratching head into the corresponding groove in the middle of the weighing lever.
5. Rotate the balance beam so that the tip of the scratching head just makes contact with the surface of the sample.
6. Set the required test weight by moving the adjustment weight.
7. Start the instrument, the disk begins to move, and the scratching head leaves a scratch on the sample surface.
Precautions
• Before the test, always adjust the height of the balance lever precisely according to the sample thickness to ensure the initial state is level.
• When installing the sample, use pressure blocks and nuts to secure it firmly to prevent loosening during testing.
• When adjusting the contact between the scratching head and the sample, ensure it is in a "just touching" state to avoid the influence of pre-loading force on the results.
• Operate carefully when moving the adjustable weight to set the load, ensuring the weight value is accurate.
• During the testing process, please observe carefully to avoid accidents.
• The instrument should be operated and maintained in accordance with the listed relevant safety and testing standards.
