Working Principle
The instrument employs the principles of electromagnetic induction and eddy current effects to automatically identify ferrous (magnetic method) or aluminum-based (eddy current method) materials and measure the thickness of their surface coatings. The split-type probe design ensures measurement stability and adaptability to various measurement environments.
Operating Steps
1. Select and connect the appropriate probe based on the substrate being tested.
2. Turn on the instrument and perform zero calibration, single-point calibration, or five-point calibration as needed.
3. Choose between single-point measurement or continuous measurement mode.
4. Place the probe vertically on the surface to be measured for testing.
5. View measurement data, statistical results, or alarm prompts through the instrument.
6. After completing the measurements, connect the instrument to a computer via USB to export data and generate reports.
Precautions
• Correct calibration must be performed before measurement based on the substrate type.
• Ensure the probe is perpendicular to the tested surface to obtain accurate readings.
• Avoid using the instrument in environments with strong magnetic fields or severe vibrations.
• Clean the probe regularly to prevent dirt from affecting measurement accuracy.
• For measuring special shapes (such as cylinders), it is recommended to use a dedicated large V probe to ensure stability.
• Please follow the instructions for instrument maintenance and storage.
