Working principle
The CTG-600F3 split-type coating thickness gauge operates based on the principle of magnetic induction. Its Fe function enables the detection of the thickness of non-magnetic coatings (such as paint, powder coatings, plastics, porcelain, chromium, copper, zinc, etc.) on all magnetic substrates (such as steel, iron).
Application Areas
Automotive industry, manufacturing industry, metal processing industry, chemical industry, commodity inspection
Complies with standards
National standards, international standards
Operating Procedures
1. Based on measurement requirements, select either single-point measurement or continuous measurement mode.
2. According to the base material, ensure the instrument is in the correct measurement mode (e.g., Fe mode).
3. Perform zero calibration, single-point calibration, or five-point calibration as needed.
4. Place the probe vertically and steadily against the surface of the coating to be measured.
5. Read the measurement result displayed on the screen.
6. Use the statistical function to view data or export reports via USB connection to a computer.
Precautions
• Ensure the probe is vertical and makes stable contact with the surface being measured during operation.
• Calibrate the instrument regularly to maintain measurement accuracy.
• Avoid prolonged use in extremely harsh environments, even though the instrument is designed to withstand high and low temperatures.
• Prevent the probe from experiencing severe impacts to protect its wear-resistant properties.
• When storing data, manage it in groups to avoid confusion.
• When connecting to computer software, ensure you use the compatible software and the correct connection method.
