Overview
The TQC Zahn Cup VF2226 is a stainless steel Handheld viscosity test cup designed to quickly assess the viscosity and conformity of medium and low viscosity liquids. The product is designed according to international standards, and the structural appearance and specifications meet the relevant application standards. It is suitable for Newtonian or near-Newtonian fluids such as paints, inks, pigments and coatings.
Features
1. Stainless steel, durable and easy to clean
2. Provide five models corresponding to different viscosity ranges, VF2226 filter diameter 2mm, viscosity range Max 60cst
3. Handheld, immersion design, easy to operate
4. Outflow time of 35-80 seconds to ensure test accuracy
5. Comes with hard plastic box and soft protective material for easy storage
Principle
The Zahn Cup is designed based on the principles of newtonian fluid mechanics and evaluates viscosity by measuring the time it takes for the liquid to flow out of a standard pore size. When the cup is lifted vertically, the liquid flows out of the filter, recording the time from leaving the liquid level to the first disconnection of the flow beam. This time is related to the liquid kinematic viscosity, expressed in centimeters (cst).
Applications
Paints, inks, pigments, Coatings
Standards
international standard
Steps
1. Adjust the temperature of the liquid to be tested to 25 +/- 0.2 ° C
2. Select the Zahn Cup with the appropriate pore size according to the expected viscosity and fully immerse it in the liquid
3. measurement and recording of liquid temperature in the cup
4. Remove the thermometer
5. Lift the Zahn Cup vertically, start timing when the cup body leaves the liquid surface, and the height of the cup is not higher than 15cm of the liquid surface
6. Stop timing when the beam is disconnected for the first time
Notice
• Ensure that the liquid temperature is stable at 25 +/- 0.2 ° C before testing
• Use soft cloth to clean and avoid abrasion tools such as wire brushes
• Clean the outflow hole in time after each use to remove residues
• Pay attention to safety protection during operation and establish appropriate safety regulations
• The height of the cup must not exceed 15 cm of the liquid level
